Abstract:
The Crying Corpse, the second in the Jessica Ryan Mystery Series, takes place in beautiful New York City during the Christmas Holidays. Best friends Jessica Ryan, Eileen Karich, and Linda Miller embark on yet another adventure when they attempt to solve a murder that is twenty-five years old. New York City at Christmas time is an awesome place to be. Add murder, suspense, and the Spirit World and you have a mystery novel that will, hopefully, keep you mesmerized right to the shocking end.

  mystery & friendship , 10/18/2009
Reviewer: Pam Rector
Fans of "Deadly Deceit" will be delighted that Jesse and her friends Eileen and Linda have returned to solve the mystery of "The Crying Corpse". The reader will be intrigued as the humor from the early part of the book gradually changes to danger and suspense. The girls always "have each others backs" as they face an unknown murderer who plans to strike again. Highly recommended with kudos to author Marilynn Giddens Battell.

  Couldn't put it down , 10/25/2009

Marilynn did it again. Could not put the book down. You just get caught up in the story. This one was as good as her first, Deadly Deceit. Can't wait until the next one to come out. Keep writing, you sure do have a God given talent for it. Your characters all just seem to jump out of the page at you. I guess it is safe to say I really enjoyed the read.
