Abstract:
This book, The Joy of Racing Solo, is about the racing experiences of my wife Joyce and I, who spent more than forty years enjoying sports cars, traveling, competition and the companionship of people dedicated to racing.

I share my memories of the very early years of the sport of autocrossing before it was known as SCCA Solo II. There are also stories about our years of racing on frozen lakes.

These stories are humorous and touching as we recall the successes and failures we had during our adventures. Best of all, we remember stories of some of the greatest friends and competitors from all corners of the United States and Canada.
