Abstract:
It’s been forty-one years since they brought the sixty-two children to this island refuge—to escape the serpent’s new device…a horrible plague that was destroying the world. John and the six other Elders were the only ones on Eden who knew what the plague was…its insidious secret was never revealed to the successive generations of Edenites. Just the knowledge of what the plague was…its irresistible enticement…would certainly destroy their New World.
