Abstract:
In The Middle Fork, Brad Allen takes the reader on a journey through valleys, up mountains, back in time, and ultimately to a place of significance. Starting out looking for giant trees in the Middle Fork Valley near North Bend, Washington, the forest comes to represent something more than just another life pursuit. The author faces the challenges of raising kids and the questions posed as they come of age. Ultimately, he finds significance in a place and way he never anticipated.
