Abstract:
Jake Butler struggles to deal with decisions others have made for him. Erika, his lifelong girlfriend, leaves him for a musical career in Chicago and then proceeds to turn his world upside down. His grandmother, Sara, guards a secret she hopes Jake will never have to learn. She almost succeeds until fate intervenes and nearly destroys them.

In LETTING GO, Jake and Sara take turns telling their story, and together they weave a tale of heartbreak and intrigue. Jake has to grow up before his time, and Sara must come to terms with circumstances she thought were buried forever.
