Abstract:
Colorado. Rocky Mountains. Cool rushing streams. Fresh air. Mutilated bodies. Cal Carlson, the chief of Police of a small Colorado town, has found another dead baby, beheaded, in his area. He enlists the services of an old F.B.I. friend, Brian Hall, and some Denver detectives to help solve the murder. This makes three dead mutilated infants in only a few months. The only clues are microscopic crossword hints written on the bodies. Are the clues going to help catch this monster or are they only part of a game? Nothing would prepare them for what they find.
