Abstract:
Circumstances forced Kat to marry and she accompanies her doctor husband to a remote place called Rebel, Montana. It is here their son Erick is born. Kat scrimps to save money, but unknown to her, Frederick is gambling away all their savings. When he is murdered, she is left penniless. After the trial, Kat receives a letter that sends her into turmoil. The decisions she must now make will affect the life of her son when he returns to take over his father’s practice.
