Abstract:
David and the Giant is a heroic, action-packed story about a dentist, Ray, and his wife who travel to the Middle East on a mission trip to help Iraqi refugees after 9/11 and are taken captive by terrorists demanding surgery on an al-Qaeda member. Ray is given a prophecy in his church that parallels the biblical story of David and Goliath, which comes to “true light” when Ray realizes he is playing the role of King David, his patient is the giant, and the stone in his sling is a device that Ray has developed and patented. The story emphasizes Ray’s faith to conquer the giant terrorist.
