Abstract:
These are diaries of a foreign professor who had spent two years teaching and living at a college in the most conservative region of Saudi Arabia. They consist of more than three hundred entries. The first entry of a day is usually about the weather. Other entries include the experiences of the author and other foreign professors. Some entries are about food, cooking, and eating; about sex and marriage in the Kingdom; entanglement with the guardians of religion; an absurd fine to get a driving license; a night picnic in the desert; dust and sand storms; and many others; they are humorous, and ridiculous; they also inform and entertain.
