Flocks is a story about Buster McGull and his family. The seagull family is moving to the small town of Cape Cobblenest, Massachusetts, where the streets are lined with birdhouses and cobblestones. Buster worries if he will make friends in his new town. The town birds wonder if Maggie and her cronies will ruin the annual Dunk-N-Dive competition games. A townhall meeting is called. Can Maggie and her cronies be stopped before they ruin the games?

Abstract:
Flocks is a humorous story about imaginary birds. The story was created when my husband and I visited the New England states. While visiting a donut restaurant a seagull seemed out of his elements away from the shore. Walking around the parking lot waiting for someone to feed him . We also visited Nantucket Island with their cobblestone streets. We were impressed of the trash barrels that lined the highways through Massachusetts to keep their state clean. News events and a talk show host influenced the story, and a local newswoman would tell us everyday on the morning news to have a groovy day. These events led me to write about Buster bird, his family and friends.
