Abstract:
My Brother’s Witness, Monsignor Aloysius Schwartz is the story of a missionary priest, raised in a poor neighborhood in Washington, D.C. who literally saved the lives of thousands of Korean orphans in the early 1960’s by providing food, clothing, shelter and his own fully-accredited school program. He simultaneously opened clinics, dispensaries and two hospitals offering free services to the poor. He founded two religious congregations to help bring his programs to thousands. He then established similar programs in the Philippines and Mexico just before his early death from a debilitating disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. His programs continue to flourish.
