Abstract:
The first part of the novel is about George Lincoln. He meets one of his daughters at a beach on Maui. He had deserted his three daughters twenty-years before. All three are now on Maui because of their Mother’s recent death. They become romantically involved during their week’s stay and also find themselves caught up in the intrigue of the Sovereignty Movement. Not until the end of the novel do they discover that George is their father.
The second part of the novel intertwines with the first and traces the history of the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy during 1892-98.
