Abstract:
Over my 30 years of a challenging career as a surgeon, I wrote every day. These 88 essays range from humor, to travel, to personal memoirs, to medical economics and treatment, philosophy and religion, fantasy and Christmas humor, and about my life and family. Often the stories were stimulated by something that happened in the operating room. Others came out of the blue, taking on great meaning for me. I hope you enjoy them. Perhaps it will lead you to write your own essays. For energizing the brain it is more successful, I believe, than crossword puzzles!
