Abstract:
Grief is a complicated emotion that words can never capture in totality. My personal experience with grief in relation to the death of my sister has been an emotional journey that I unashamedly admit I still struggle with nine years later. Through understanding and progression, I have discovered that there are different types of loss and no one loss can be fairly compared to another. Most importantly, any type loss is traumatic and it is important to have the support of someone who not only validates your specific experience, but recognizes that grief has no time limit.
