Abstract:
When an experiment on a huge, northeastern horse farm seemingly ends in disaster, the resultant, useless foal is cast aside. Samuel Decker, the farm owner, is grieved, but returns to business as usual – breeding other successful race horses.

Eight years later, when personal crises bring her life to a standstill, Elaine Decker, daughter of the owner, returns to her parents’ farm. During her stay, she makes an accidental discovery that indicates the circumstances surrounding the ‘disaster’ were not what they seemed. The truth rocks the racing world, as well as her relationships with her family members.
