Abstract:
No Laughing Matter is a modern day takeoff on the Biblical tale of Abraham and Sarah. Al, Pearl, Trudy and Iris are retired and living in a Florida condo, members of the Morning Pool Group which specializes in comparing delicatessen menus and going to Early Birds and theatrical rehashes. This seems an idyllic way to creep into old age, but disaster looms. Mix in a rabbi and a minister, various doctors, a musical group called the Alligators and Aliens from Outer Space and therein hangs a tale.
