An Emotionally Gripping True Story , 10/23/2013
Reviewer: Joe Sindoni
I just finished reading, Non-Essential Personnel. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and the passion that came through in this gripping true story of the tragedy that was the fate of the Marshall Football Team. It was touching, poignant, and very emotional, but also uplifting and inspiring. When the author, Jerry Sieber, who was a field manager for that fateful team, was told to wash the names from the helmets, I had to put the book down to dry my eyes. The outcome of that part of the book alone will live with me forever. I never saw the movie, “We Are Marshall” but after reading this book, I will from this day forward, be a fan of The Thundering Herd football team.
