Abstract:
Poetry, dreams, and journal entries are used to anchor the story and keep it manageable. Keeping the conversation alive about the long-term effects of sexual transgressions against children is paramount. I write for all such stories that have gone untold; for the ones that have not even been whispered to another person but have stayed buried under layers of pain. I tried to leave enough space for readers to weave in their own connections. It is my intention to share as honestly as possible the flavor of the confusion, the despair, and finally the hope.
