This is a well written romantic novel. The author has a unique style and presented the story in a vivid manner for the reader to easily understand and grasp the message. The plot of the story and the characters are exciting and fascinating, especially the main character that despite the intricacies and adversities of life, he pursued his career with the determination to excel. The essence of the story holds true to the saying that “First love never dies”. This is a book worth reading which I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it to those who love good stories.

Last Chance is a well written novel , 02/08/2016
Reviewer: Millicent Tyson Nealy
Review by Millicent Tyson Nealy Last Chance is a novel with a complex plot wherein the author successfully coordinates fiction with factual information to create interesting reading. The romantic story of the characters, Edward and Cynthia, transitions well with factual information pertaining to historical and military events. This presentation of an English aristocrat serving with the British Crown and India/The Boxer Rebellion during the period of the Opium War, surely required much research and extensive study. The reader becomes involved in researching for additional insight pertaining to the period of the novel’s setting. For example, this reader was intrigued with and sought further information relative to the transporting of horses by ship to distance ground soldiers. Suffice it to say, the author reaches multiple audiences: those that are intrigued with romance, military events as well as social and family interaction. The struggles, rewards, ruins and even life and death that loom in all our life are vividly portrayed in Last Chance. It shows evidence that although the journey of life can be complex, it can converge as an extraordinary adventure. The story reaches into the human heart, leaving the reader at the end wanting to linger and stay awhile in anticipation what comes next . . .
