"TUG OF WAR" DOCUMENTED EXPERIENCES THAT I BELIEVE MANY OF US HAVE HAD AND WONDERED ABOUT. THE CHAPTER DEALING WITH THE YOUNG DYING GIRL WAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST TO ME. AS A NURSE, I HAD ENCOUNTERED PATIENTS WHO COMMUNICATED SIMILAR VISIONS. THIS BOOK HAS HELPED ME UNDERSTAND SOMETIMES THERE ARE NO EXPLAINATIONS FOR SOME THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN OUR LIVES. WE JUST NEED TO TRUST GOD.

I loved the book. It paints a clear picture of how someone's faith can be pulled in one direction or the other. The bible verses were comforting and reassuring. My favorite story was the one about the dream of when she met Jesus, God the Father, the Holy Spirit and was shown the book that our names have been recorded in. The story about her baptism was uplifting and funny. the scariest was the one when she was expecting her first son.

I read this book in one setting the first time. Each story seemed to stir a different emotion in me. Though the subject of the supernatural and paranormal may be heavy and disconcerting Terry was able to present her experiences offering encouragement, comfort and at times humor. I especially like the well place quotes and scriptures.

I think the subject of spiritual warfare is one everyone needs to consider. I really like the way Terry courageously told her story through the context of her Christian faith. It seems to me that Terry has been through the fire, and comes out even stronger on the other side.

God can reach us through mysterious circumstances , 03/07/2014

I read the book through in 2 sittings and now am re-reading and pondering each story thoughtfully to glean its Biblical wisdom. Terry writes of her and her family's own actual personal experiences of God and the supernatural---both Heavenly and not-so-heavenly. "Some of what you read may give you nightmares; my hope is that at least some of what you read might bring you hope and faith to overcome the nightmares." she states in her introduction. This is her theme and she carries it out in each of her 43 short stories. She writes so vividly, realistically, and personally that I became a participating-observer in the stories. After each of the stories, Terry concludes with a Christian interpretation and/or application for developing a deeper Christian faith and life. A fascinating and thought-provoking book!
