Senior year has arrived for field hockey champion, Jackie McKendry. She just has to pick the right college. Then family secrets and a new teammate make life way more complicated.

Abstract:
Field hockey player, Jackie McKendry, is finally a senior, so getting into the right college should be her only worry. But her stress level escalates when her parents start acting weird and her kid sister appears to be growing up a little too fast and no one seems to be noticing. Then a hotshot ninth grader throws off the team’s chemistry. And, what continually gnaws at her is — when all of this is over will she and Mitch Kennedy still be together? Suddenly senior year doesn’t seem to be the fun time everyone said it would be.

just finished reading My Last Year at Northfield High, by Mary Marino in one sitting. IO couldn't put the book down, as the previous three books in this series made me feel close to the characters and i just kept reading to find out what the future held for everyone. the nice thing about this book, is that while it centers around a field hockey team, it deals with many of lives everyday problems and even a few unique ones. The ending was especially good and brought the entire series to an entertaining end. The series is a great read for athletes, coaches and parents to help eash understand the pressures being experienced by the others. DH, coach of high school team
