Abstract:
The Adventures of Helene are the memoirs of Helene Glaser Beck, a strong and courageous Jewish Austrian woman who, at the age of 89 years, has shared her wonderfully insightful story with her family and for history. It is the story of a little girl growing up and having to deal with a large family during two World Wars. This is truly a first person account of history and a remarkable story of a daughter, cousin, wife, mother and grandmother. It is lovingly edited by her son, Dr. Gustav Beck; grandniece, Dr. Ruth Contreras and grandson, Dr. Edward Beck.
