Abstract:
This book is about the memories of Edmund and Eleanor Dery over a span of ninety years. It begins with our ancestry and continues through our schooling, the Great Depression of the 1930s, World War Two, the Cold War era with the Soviet Union, the Kennedy assassinations, and the Civil Rights Movement. It also covers our working and retirement years, the Iraq War, the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States, the Financial Crisis of 2007-08, and ends with our lifetime changes in science, and technology, relative to transportation, astronomy, medicine, communications and the inventions that made life easier.
