Abstract:
Faith in the American Dream – the idea that our children, based on their efforts, will have the opportunity to do better than we have done – is declining across the country. In this book, former Admiral and Congressman Joe Sestak explains what steps he believes it will take to restore the American Dream. By aligning the two core tenets of the American character – rugged individualism and the common enterprise – into policy decisions, Sestak proposes his solutions to restore the Dream on topics ranging from small business to green manufacturing to health security to student loans.
