Abstract:
The main themes of this book are about war, and different living experiences expressed throughout the voices of the speakers of all the poems in the book. A war is either a physical one such as the Vietnam War, or emotional conflicts. Living experiences consist of the ones in the war time as well as the ones in the time of peace, and they are expressed through different thoughts and feelings, from thoughts and good feelings in love, patriotism, friendship, social relationships, to thoughts and feelings in fear, loss and hatred due to warfare, social conflicts, or difficult times.
