Walking blind

Walking through a maze with no exit
Fear of the unknown
Trusting in the undiscovered
Deconstructing the familiar
To find a layer that does not exist
Reality calls
Fate awaits
Time moves on
But we close our eyes and wait
For what may never come
What shall not be
But instead we let the Sankofa
Eat its own flesh
Because we were cowards
Looking back is not being stuck
Looking forward is not forgetting
Moving feet is not running away
But nothing at all is unforgiving
Allow pain to be your victory
Let it be the roots that don’t have feet to run away
But bridge the untroubled waters
That have yet to conquer your soul
