It was the way life was supposed to be. Dreams and schemes unfold as the boys from Blue Pond cling to their life of adventure as the nineteen seventies fade.

Abstract:
There’s no good place to begin telling a story that I never wanted to end. I often find myself reflecting on the days of my past. This is a tribute to a group of charming characters of my old neighborhood of Blue Pond. It was a time where schemes, dreams, and adventures were created in our minds and played out without rehearsal. There once was a day when trails, creeks, barns and a longing for adventure were more than a kid could ask for. Oh yeah... there was also “The Pond.”

This book takes me back to a time when kids could have fun, get into a little mischief and still be good kids that grow into responsible adults. This book would make a great movie or TV series.

Thanks for The Memories , 12/24/2009

Having been an older "Ponder", I bought this book strickly for the novelty, but was very much surprised by a very well writtten book that took me back to a time when life was so much simpler and boys could be boys and learn and grow from life's experiences without all the worries of todays world. No matter where you lived, if you remember those times, you will enjoy the book. I hope the author has future book plans. Thanks for The Memories.

As another "older Ponder", I see that life "in the Pond" never changed. We had different nick names: Elf, Moose, Scab and Danny Joe but the same view about life and we lived it to the fullest.

Keith spoke at our Friends of the Library meeting and he is not only a talented writer that makes you feel like you are there, but he is also a wonderful person and speaker. I hope we'll be reading another of his books soon.

This book brought back so many memories of growing up in the south, in a community where we all were close. I guess we all have those stories in our lives that have made us who we are, and Keith really captured those from his Blue Pond neighborhood. Thanks for the memories!! I've already read it twice.
