D. C. Macom, born in 1948, grew up in the South Bronx, New York. During the Vietnam War, D. C. enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While a member of a missile launch crew at Vandenberg AFB his job included processing flight technical data that resulted from the launches of Atlas and Titan ICBM Missiles. After an honorable discharge, D. C. attended Bronx Community College and Empire State College. Among his studies were medical lab technician, biology, astronomy, music and psychology. Today, D.C. Macom lives in Florida. He continues to write and is an accomplished musician who performs at clubs in South Florida.
