Alan Burton’s first book was published in 1973 while he was a student at the FBI National Academy. “Terrorist” is his sixteenth published book.

As a rookie cop, he pioneered training programs for public safety, and is an accredited college instructor. He retired as a sheriff’s captain, and has since worked as a consultant, magazine editor and publisher. He has led seminars and lectured across the country. He has been elected to public office, serving as a member and president of a suburban school board.

Today he resides in Oregon, where he’s working on his third novel, “Gabriel.”
