Biography:

Biographical information. Born in Kansas in 1928, Dr. Russell Lewis Collins grew up in Tulsa, OK. He attended public schools in Tulsa, and earned a B.S. degree in Engineering physics at the Univ. of Tulsa in 1948. Thence to Norman, OK, for graduate study in physics. M.S. 1950, Ph.D. 1953. He worked at Phillips Petroleum Co. and the Univ. of Texas at Austin before retiring in 1984. With his graduate students, Dr. Collins published more than 50 refereed papers in standard journals. In retirement, he has worked on some vexing problems of physics and this book represents his findings.
