Karen Barlow Parmiter, Ph.D., has taught at the High-School and College level, over a period of 40 years. She has constantly been involved in developing better philosophy, curriculum, and outcomes for our educational system. Her major concern has always focused on the human element.

Dr. Parmiter received her M.A. Degree from Allegheny College and Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. She has recently retired as a professor from Thiel College. She’s had the opportunity to study and travel extensively in 23 foreign countries, including England, Israel, China, Egypt, and Iceland. She and her husband have two children and five grandchildren.
