Biography:
She was born in Hope, Arkansas, moved to California in 1950, married, has two children and five grandchildren. Served as a retired nurse, community activist, student of the late Poet Manazor Gamboa of Homeland Cultural Center, has written poetry and read at Long Beach Museum of Art. Read Poetry for Press Telegram Columnist Tom Hennessy Poetry Fest presented by Long Beach NAACP, published Poetry in Homeland Neighborhood Cultural Center books of Poetry, Silver Pearls, an affiliate of Partner of Parks and an activity of the city of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine, The International Library of Poetry, poetry.com, The National Library of Poetry, Los Angeles Sentinel and Long Beach Times news papers, and local seniors programs in the City of Long Beach, California.
