Patrick Whalen, the author of Brain Bombardment, is a resident of Dover Plains, New York. He is a life member of the U.S. Chess Federation and plays in tournaments at New York City’s Marshall Chess Club.

Patrick has an M.A. in English and was the valedictorian of his high school graduating class. He worked for 20 years at a child welfare agency in New York City. At age 50 he runs at least two miles a day whenever the weather permits.

Patrick has begun writing a math book, tentatively titled Algebra Without Witches.
