Cheryl Alston Willis is the person behind the pen in, A Place In My Heart. She was born of simple roots in Rocky Mount, N.C. She chooses to use the initials of her given name and surname that her birth mother gave her when she writes. Her observations of relationships and what happens within them, compiled over two years, is introduced in poetry form. She has a Batchelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from High Point University. A divorced mother of a 23 year-old daughter, Cheryl, (b.d.simms), now resides in White Plains, Maryland.
