Frances Wilcox Muir is a freelance writer with articles published in a wide variety of periodicals. She was employed by IBM for 15 years, much of that time as an Information Developer. A former teacher, Frances holds a B.S. in Child Development plus a Master's-equivalent in Education. Frances and her husband Malcolm have raised three children; John, Tom, and their own horse-crazy kid, Gillian, who grew up to be a professional equestrian. Tom's five-year-old daughter Megan is the next generation of horse-crazy Muirs. Fran enjoys riding her own horse, Willy, and also caring for her husband's Thoroughbred, Bold Gentleman.
