Biography:

Richard Edwards (Dick) Cragg (born Chicago, 1917) graduated from Purdue in 1938 (BSEE) and enlisted in the Naval Reserve in 1940. Promoted to Ensign after his training cruise in the gun-boat Wilmington, he served a year in the light cruiser Brooklyn, traversing the globe from New Zealand to Iceland. He then spent four years at the Naval Code and Signal Laboratory in Washington, DC, in Research and Development. In December, 1945, Lieutenant Commander Cragg returned to civilian life. Proud of his eleven children and step-children, and many grandchildren, Dick is retired, lives in Nokomis, Florida, and summers in Lakeside, Michigan.
