Biography:
Bill Quinn joined the Navy in 1963 and by 1966 was in Vietnam as part of a helicopter combat unit stationed in I Corps. In 1969 he went back to Vietnam as a member of the River Patrol Force TF116, which was part of the Mobile Riverien Force. He was stationed at Binh Thuy, in the Mekong Delta, and while in the Delta he made numerous combat patrols aboard PBRs. He earned the Gallantry Cross, Civil Action medal, a Meritorious Unit Commendation, and many other decorations. He now lives in a small town in northern New Mexico, where he plays guitar and sings Jimmy Buffett songs.
