The author was born in 1935, Kertosono, Java, Indonesia, (the Dutch East Indies) before the WWII, delivered by her Uncle Marinus van Stokkum, MD, DDS, and Homeopath. Her father was killed during the first week of invasion (May 1942). The rest of the family repatriated in 1950 to the mother country: Holland.

The author’s education was continued in Holland and saw her graduating from the University of Groningen (1956) in Medical Technology. That same year saw her immigrating to the US. 43 years was spent in Medical Technology as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the United States. This was excellent training in Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry and knowledge of disease.

When retirement was looming she studied with the British Institute of Homeopathy, received her Diploma in Homeopathy (DIHom) in 1999, a Diploma in Case Taking 2001 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine (DHM) was received in February 2002. A City of Palm Springs, Ca business license was obtained in July 1999.
