Biography:
The talented 6th grade students who wrote this book were in Ms. Ewald’s homeroom at Mississippi Creative Arts Magnet (MCAM) in St. Paul, Minnesota during the 2003- 2004 school year.
Jenny Ewald has been teaching at MCAM for 7 years and this was Sean Fleming’s first year teaching at MCAM, although he has been teaching for 10 years. Sean and Jenny built a collaborative relationship where they were able to team-teach 6th grade reading and differentiate instruction for the students, many of whom are English language learners.
