Brian Jud is an author, book-marketing consultant, seminar leader and host of the television series "The Book Authority." He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in marketing and spent twenty years in corporate sales and marketing positions.

In 1990 he founded and became the president of Marketing Directions, Inc. In 1996 he formed a subsidiary, Book Marketing Works, L.L.C., to help authors self-publish and market their books.

Brian has written and published four books on career transition which are distributed internationally: "Job Search 101," "Coping With Unemployment," 'The ABCs of Finding A Job" and "Help Wanted: Inquire Within." "Job Search 101" has been translated into Spanish and released as "Elementos basicos para buscar trabajo." He is the author, narrator and producer of the video programs "The Art of Interviewing" and "You're On The Air."

He also wrote and published the books "It's Show Time" and "Perpetual Promotion" which serve as the companion guides for the video program. Brian wrote and published a series of eight, 32-page pocket-sized booklets.

Mr. Jud is the founder and president of the Connecticut Authors Association, created to help Connecticut's authors increase the visibility and sales of their books by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information.

Brian is an adjunct lecturer of sales and marketing courses. He instructs both graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Hartford. He is a columnist, syndicated through Lepore Features Syndication Service. He teaches courses in self-publishing and marketing books for adult-education programs, and conducts self-publishing seminars.
