Biography:

DOROTHY F. FORD’S maternal great grandfather was on the last known slave ship (Clotilda) to arrive in America in a place now called Africatown (AL). She is the seventh of eleven children born to Nathan D. and Ora A. Floyd. A world traveler, she founded The Ora A. Floyd Foundation in the United States and Liberia, West Africa. Humanitarian work in Liberia and Nigeria placed her in Who’s Who in International Community Service and World Who’s Who of Women. Educated at Alabama State University, Xavier University; B.S. Pharmacy, Los Angeles City College, University of California Los Angeles, University of Wisconsin and California Technical University; M/Doctorate in Economics.
