As a toddler in 1946 the author traveled with her parents to Thailand and later attended boarding school in Vietnam. After her college education in the United States she returned to Thailand as a nurse-midwife to serve in the mission leprosy clinic. Her 35 years as a missionary of The Christian and Missionary Alliance included a wide variety of experiences. Western Buddhist monks and nuns, a Thai governor, illiterate villagers, college professors and missionaries’ children were among those whose lives God touched through her work. The author is currently on a leave of absence to help care for her parents in southern California.
