Monica Hanchett has been writing poems since elementary school in Houston, Texas. With her sister Gina’s encouragement, poetry became a passion. Monica has also enjoyed active sports such as roller skating and ice skating. She was a lead actress at Houston Community College, with sold-out performances. During her competitive ice skating days, her poems coincided with her lifestyle. Ministries are her backbone. She supports the Samples, who have a prison ministry that she prays for. Writing poetry is a natural way for Monica to express her thoughts. She considers this a blessing and loves sharing it.
