J.L. Krueger is a retired U.S. Army officer. He lives in North Carolina with his family, including three dogs and a crabby cat. He does IT contract work when he isn’t off training U.S. troops. He still hasn’t gotten the Army entirely out of his system. Writing fantasy helps him keep his balance and has been his favorite pastime for almost seventeen years. Once all the children are out of the house, he and his wife plan to split their time between the North Carolina mountains and Scotland.
