I was born in Citronelle, Alabama, May 14, 1940.

I graduated from Jim Hill High School in Jackson Mississippi, worked before and after school, served as President of the Student Council, played on the basketball team, worked on the school annual, and wrote the sports page.

I attended Tougaloo College, was a member of the basketball team, and joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

In the army, I achieved the rank of sergeant in less than two years, and received an honorable discharge.

I am retired, a husband, father, golfer, and attend The Church of The Holy Redeemer, Episcopal, Denver, Colorado.
