I was born February 23, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. My parents are John and Thelma Harris. I am blessed with two sisters and brothers, four children and twenty grandchildren. I have a devoted husband and many nieces and nephews. I attended Detroit public school system. After high school, I attended community college where I earned my associate degree in liberal arts (science). I then pursued my passion to be a nurse. I have been practicing in healthcare for twenty-six years. I opened a crisis center in 2004 to help provide services to those in need.
