Brooks was born in North Dakota, but grew up and spent most of his adult life in Wisconsin where he worked as a manager for a manufacturing firm. He has published several papers and articles on manufacturing techniques. Jack’s Affliction is his first novel. He lives in Roswell, New Mexico with his wife and a calico cat named Chaos. He is currently working on his next two novels, Rita and Bobby’s Girl.
