The author, now in his seventies, quit high school before graduating. He has worked in slaughter houses and operating rooms. An assiduous reader, his longest job was as clerk in a bookstore. He has written a trunkful of plays (which have never gotten out of the trunk). At 33 he converted to Catholicism, married wonderfully well and raised ten children, He designs and makes musical instruments (folk variety) and is a ventriloquist. He is a Renaissance man seen through the wrong end of a telescope.
