The author is a retired physician who is hopelessly lost in another time and place. He lives in St. Augustine, Florida where he lives out his fantasy as a volunteer living historian for the National Park Service at the Castillo San Marcos. He busies himself teaching visitors about the early history of America. He portrays an 18th and 19th Century Physician and a 1740s Spanish soldier.
