Jalal Ghavami is the author of five books of poetry, River to Ocean, Blues for All Season, Brick, New Love Poem, and his first volume of poetry, Cold Season Poems. He attended Essex College, Jersey City State College and Duquesne University, earning a master's degree in education. He was an auditor for City of Newark, New Jersey. He resides and writes in Brick City, Garden State.
